Known as the 5 Star State Certification Program or the 5 Star Variance Program by the CDPHE, the program in Greeley will be known as the Safe Place to Be – 5-Star Certification Program.

The City of Greeley, Greeley Area Chamber of Commerce, City of Evans, and City of Windsor are teaming up to encourage area businesses to implement safety measures that will help slow the spread of COVID-19 locally and allow local businesses to move forward with safe reopening efforts needed to help the local economy recover.

Complete the online application. Businesses, please review the program requirements below before applying.

2 –On-site Business Inspection

After submitting the application, a local city representative will contact you. Businesses will be asked to submit a certification checklist and will need to pass an onsite inspection prior to final certification.

3 – Certification Provided

Certified businesses will be supplied a certificate to display and will have access to additional materials to promote their certification status.

No, you don’t. There are no application fees associated with this program.

No, all businesses are eligible to be part of the “A Safe Place to Be – 5 Star Certification Program”.

Businesses participating in this program are being recognized for actively implementing and promoting safe business practices guidelines for their customers to create a safe environment. All State of Colorado mandates and guidelines are still in place for each industry.

When a business passes the certification standards, they’ll be provided a certificate and marketing materials to display at their business.
